POSITIVE feedback from last year’s event has encouraged Philippines-based companies to participate at Gulfood 2016, from 21-25 February 2016 at the Dubai World Trade Center.
Twenty-four companies (23 named here) will comprise the Food Philippines Pavilion, according to the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), the export promotions arm of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). Among them are Brandexports Philippines, Krystle Exports Philippines, M. Lhuillier Food Products, Inc., Magic Melt Foods, Marikina Food Corporation, Markenburg International Foods, Market Reach International, Mega Global, Philippine Grocers Food, Pixcel Transglobal Food, Q-Phil Products, Sagrex Foods, SL Agritech, See’s International Food Manufacturing, Super Q, Valmarce Food Marketing, Century Pacific Food, Chocovron Global Corporation, Consumer Insights Inc, Franklin Baker Company of the Philippines, Gem Foods, JNRM Corporation, and Kim’s Asian Line of Mixes.
The Food Philippines Pavilion at booth number E8-10 / F8-9, Hall 8, will be introducing new product lines with emphasis on natural, organic and of course Halal-certified food.
Last year, the pavilion garnered sales of US$104.34 million, the highest on record for the country over the years. According to CITEM, the most sought-after products were coconut water and juice; dried mangoes other dried fruits and banana chips; and fresh fruits like cavendish bananas, pineapples, and mangoes.
