THIS year’s in-cosmetics Brasil is set to become the biggest education and business platform in Latin America’s personal care industry, promising a bigger exhibitor and visitor base, and greater educational content than the 2014 edition.
The show, which will run from September 30 to October 1 at the Pavilhão Azul of São Paulo’s Expo Center Norte, is already 20% bigger than last year with eight months still to go before opening day. More than half of exhibitors are international companies. The projected visitor count is 30% more than last year’s 2,800, with the number of international visitors rising by 50%.
The two-day international trade fair will allow manufacturers from the toiletries, fragrance, and cosmetics sector to showcase current and future innovations. Leading companies, including Croda, Symrise, Merck, Givaudan, Ashland, and Gattefossé, and Brazilian companies Beraca, Oxiteno, Chemyunion, Química Anastácio, and Brasquim, have confirmed their attendance.
An expanded educational content complements the bigger and broader exhibition range. Show manager Daniel Zanetti said, “We are taking care to draw up a program that will bring innovations and quality technical content to our audience. Accordingly, this 2nd Edition not only has Innovation Seminars and Technical Workshops but we are also launching a Marketing Trends program, with free presentations embracing a variety of industry topics, giving information on the latest market trends, statistics, and data.”
Brazil is currently the largest HPPC market in Latin America and the third largest globally next to Japan and the US. Brazil is forecast to overtake Japan soon and slide into second place.
Large-scale consumption of cosmetics products will continue to drive growth in Brazil, which has 11% of the worldwide market. Data from Euromonitor International reported the country’s 2012 turnover hit almost US$42 billion.
in-cosmetics Brasil is organized by Reed Exhibitions and is part of the in-cosmetics International Group. It is backed by The Brazilian Association of the Cosmetics, Toiletries and Fragrance Industry (ABIHPEC), the most important body in the country and an enthusiastic local partner.
