3D Monitor for Digital Mammography

Eizo Nanao Corporation presents RadiForce GS521-ST, a 21.3-inch 5 MP monochrome LCD monitor ideal for displaying 3D (stereoscopic) digital mammography. It will be the first 3D monitor in the RadiForce family of medical monitor solutions. Eizo uses a half-silvered mirror method to achieve high image quality, which is required for displaying digital mammography. With the half-silvered mirror method, the image for the right and left eye is displayed separately on the two monitors mounted vertically and horizontally. The half-silvered mirror situated in between the two monitors sorts the two images and projects them in the same direction. With the use of polarised glasses, the user sees the image in 3D.
Utilising Eizo original technology (patent pending) to the above half-silvered mirror method, the RadiForce GS521-ST makes the best use of the existing RadiForce LCD panel's performance to produce 3D images with a high definition of 2560x2048 (5 MP) and excellent depth resolution of 0.165 mm pixel pitch size. Eizo original technology also enables the RadiForce GS521-ST to perform calibration to correct the grayscale tones and brightness of the monitor ensuring continuous monitor quality control.
