THE 9TH International Plastic, Printing & Packaging Industry Exhibition and Conference, more popularly referred to as Plas Print Pack Pakistan 2013 (or 3P Pakistan 2013), is an upshot of significant collaborations between Pakistan’s top players in the plastic, printing and packaging industries. As one amongst the fastest growing economic sectors, these area industries are gaining enormous popularity with international players and industry-specific buyers seeking business opportunities in the region. Thus, 3P Pakistan was organised to support this need.

The show will be held at the Expo Centre Lahore, reputedly Pakistan’s newest and most modern exhibition centre, over a spread of 9,000 square metres under one roof. It will run concurrently with Food + Technology Pakistan 2013, on March 8-10, 2013 from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
The aim of 3P Pakistan 2013 has been to forge new and stronger business alliances between Pakistan and the rest of the world, which it hopes to achieve through the interactive showcase of cutting-edge tools and equipment, the synergy of allied services for more networking opportunities and, above all, a record quality attendance by trade visitors from countries in and outside of the region. Advertising for the show highlights the representation of over 200 leading names in the plastic, printing and packaging industry; extensive coverage by local and international media, with the presence of more than 30 electronic and print media partners; the strong support from the China National Machinery & Equipment Import & Export Corporation (CMEC) and the Pakistan Plastic Manufacturers Association; and the support by various regional trade associations and media.
The trade show’s exhibit profile includes machines and accessories/auxiliary equipment for the plastics segment; machines for package and packaging processes, and accessories for the packaging segment; and machines and accessories for the printing segment. The more specific portfolio for all segments includes machinery, raw materials, conversion, testing equipment, accessories and auxiliaries, and services.
Meanwhile, the Event Conference presents an ideal platform for both the manufacturers and suppliers to evaluate profitable investment decisions in plastic, printing and packaging equipment and technology industries.
An integrated marketing communication plan at the event ensures that both business and communication objectives of the event are well-positioned, putting the best interest of the exhibit partners in all stages of the event. This includes: print and online advertising; editorial write-ups—press releases on brand and product, including event coverage by major trade publications; event promotions by major online trade portals; trade association tie-ups for local and international direct marketing efforts; a direct marketing campaign (using brochures, flyers, event invites) aimed at a strong and active local and international database system of professionals from relevant industries; electronic mail blasts to targeted audiences, and promotional trips/ roadshows. Each annual event of the show has resulted in record-breaking business generation.
Last year’s exhibition involved 200 companies from 20 countries and a visitor count of 24,310. For this year, organisers are aiming for another breakthrough international trade event in 3P Pakistan 2013 that would serve as a benchmark for global best practices in future industry showcases. The organisers are projecting the involvement of 250 companies and 30,000 visitors.
