Manufacturing Indonesia 2023 highlights sustainable development

Manufacturing Indonesia 2023 has opened its doors today, December 6 until December 9, 2023, at JIExpo Kemayoran Jakarta. This 32nd series of exhibitions will be presented on a larger scale. More than 1,200 exhibitors from 29 countries will bring comprehensive insight into leading technologies, innovative products and solutions, as well as business network expansion opportunities.

Meysia Stephannie, Event Director of PT Pamerindo Indonesia said that the Manufacturing Indonesia exhibition has become the largest and most trusted manufacturing trade exhibition to showcase machines, and equipment under one roof.

More than that, Manufacturing Indonesia has long been a place to exchange technology, new ideas for stakeholders to accelerate the development of the manufacturing industry in Indonesia.

"Manufacturing Indonesia this time will involve more exhibitors, building a more solid smart manufacturing ecosystem for the manufacturing industry. We are optimistic that this year's exhibition will be able to attract more than 30 thousand visitors.

Through the theme, 'Towards Society 5.0', we support various efforts to accelerate sustainable development and paradigm transformation towards Society 5.0 in the manufacturing sector and Industry 4.0. "So, it's not just the technology side, but also improving the quality of human resources in the Indonesian manufacturing industry," he said.

As is known, the government is currently focused on accelerating digital transformation in the manufacturing industry. As one of the seven priority sectors for development and the main driver of the economy, this sector has contributed 70% to GDP, 65% to industrial exports, and 60% to the industrial workforce in Indonesia.

Accelerating digital transformation in the implementation of Industry 4.0 can further strengthen the manufacturing industry in supporting the Indonesian economy, and is one of the supporting efforts to realize Indonesia as a Top 10 world economy.

On the other hand, the rapid movement of digital transformation will certainly create a new industrial paradigm. So, it is important for Indonesian human resources to continue to encourage changes in mindset, as a critical step to ensure adaptation and successful development and growth of the manufacturing industry in a very dynamic era.
