WACKER Launches CAVAMAX® Foam Topping Powder Product Series with Innovative Formulations for Beverage and Bakery Markets

WACKER announced the launch of a range of food ingredient solutions for the Chinese street beverage market, including Light Cheese Caps and “400 times” Coffee foam topping.

WACKER announced the launch of a range of food ingredient solutions for the Chinese street beverage market, including Light Cheese Caps and “400 times” Coffee foam topping. This is WACKER's formulation upgrade following launch of CAVAMAX® Foam Topping Powder in 2023 to offer more creative recipes for China's booming beverage and bakery markets. These products will make their debut at the 33rd HOTELEX Shanghai, along with “waterfall” cake and frozen cream brulee. 

 

The CAVAMAX® Foam Topping Powder product series launched this time are based on WACKER's CAVAMAX® W6 Food  α- cyclodextrin, which not only allows for low-fat or zero-fat formulations to satisfy consumers' growing demand for healthier foods, but also features easy storage, refreshing taste and good stability to meet various scenarios and creative needs for food products.

"Young Chinese consumers are increasingly diversifying their demands for drinks and bakery products, which must meet the requirements of being healthy and low-fat, as well as providing visual and taste enjoyment, while being easy to prepare and freeze for storage so that the food can be sold in large supermarkets and other scenarios. Formulations made with WACKER's CAVAMAX® Foam Topping Powder are able to meet these diversified needs," said Ms Joyce Xu, Business Director of WACKER China's BIOSOLUTIONS Division.

 

WACKER's Light Cheese Caps solution is formulated with cheese powder, milk powder, CAVAMAX® Foam Topping Powder and other ingredients, without adding any non-dairy fat. The resulting drink not only retains the mellow aroma and delicate taste of cheese, but also has a smooth surface and good stability, which keeps the foam topping stable for a long time.

Another solution, “400 times” Coffee foam topping, adds WACKER's α-cyclodextrin product to the coffee powder. The whipped coffee foam is dense and refreshing, covering the milk like a cloud. In addition, the formula is stable, making it ideal for takeaway and other applications.

 

In addition to the two beverage formulations mentioned above, WACKER will also introduce a “Waterfall” Cake solution for the bakery market at HOTELEX 2025. The cloud tops whipped by CAVAMAX® Foam Topping Powder can be lightly covered on top of the cake base. The product has excellent flowability and stability, giving the cloud tops a liquid flow, like a waterfall.

 

During Hotelex 2025, WACKER staff prepared coffee, juice and other beverages for visitors using the CAVAMAX® Foam Topping Powder products.
