Event Report: China–Thailand High-End Forum on Intelligent Manufacturing and Industrial Cooperation under Thailand’s "Industry 4.0"

On May 14, 2025, the city of Bangkok hosted the highly anticipated China–Thailand High-End Forum on Intelligent Manufacturing and Industrial Cooperation, bringing together key stakeholders from both nations to explore synergies under the banner of Thailand’s “Industry 4.0” roadmap. The event marked a milestone in deepening bilateral industrial ties and promoting sustainable cooperation in the smart manufacturing and automation sectors.

Jointly organized by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME) and supported by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Thailand, and operated by Ringier Events, the forum gathered senior government officials, business leaders, and experts from over 30 Chinese and Thai companies and associations.

To ensure targeted engagement, the event was actively promoted across multiple platforms during the invitation process. Promotional efforts included posting across LinkedIn Groups, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and WeChat groups, in addition to email blasting campaigns that invited relevant delegates and professionals from the manufacturing and industrial sectors.

The forum commenced with welcome speeches from top-level dignitaries:

  • Ms. Zhang Xiaoxiao, Commercial Counsellor, Embassy of China in Thailand (Economic Section), emphasized the importance of China–Thailand cooperation in intelligent manufacturing and reaffirmed China’s commitment to supporting Thailand’s “Industry 4.0” vision.

The unveiling ceremony was conducted by Ms. Zhang Xiaoxiao, Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy of China in Thailand (Economic Section), and Mr. Leardchai Lamthaisong, Investment Promotion Officer from the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI). Following the ceremony, Mrs. Yang Tong, Deputy Secretary-General of CCCME, presented the authorization certificate to Mr. Zhang Hao, General Manager of Hangzhou Tanda Machinery Import & Export Co., Ltd.

The China Machinery & Electronic Products Service Center – Thailand aims to serve as a comprehensive business support and promotion platform, offering both online and offline services. Key offerings include:

  • Online Services: SEO/SEA optimization, targeted advertising delivery, intelligent product recommendations, multi-platform content marketing, and brand showcase on social media and industrial platforms.

Towards the second half of the forum, the event transitioned to the China–Thailand Business Matching Session, where participating companies engaged in focused discussions on technical collaboration, investment potential, and product procurement. Here, participants exchanged insights and forged cross-border cooperation plans.

The China–Thailand High-End Forum exemplified the spirit of cross-border cooperation and mutual benefit. It reinforced how intelligent manufacturing can serve as a powerful driver of growth, innovation, and regional integration in Asia. As China continues to expand its Belt and Road outreach and Thailand pursues its 4.0 vision, such platforms will be critical in translating policy into action and intent into investment.
