TRUMPF Electronics has officially expanded its footprint in South East Asia (SEA) with the open-ing of a new technical center in Malaysia.

Strategically located in Kota Damansara, just 17 kilometers from Kuala Lumpur, the newly inaugurated technical center is designed to meet the growing demand from Southeast Asia’s fast-evolving semiconductor sector. The facility offers dedicated maintenance, repair, and product fitting services, along with professional training programs tailored to international equipment manufacturers. Additionally, it will contribute to workforce development by fostering high-tech skillsets within Malaysia’s industrial talent pool.

“South East Asia has emerged as a key hub for the semiconductor industry, driven by its rapidly expanding digital economy and the resulting demand for advanced chips,” said Dariusz Czaja, Managing Director of TRUMPF Electronics Asia. “The new technical center in Malaysia represents a pivotal milestone in our commitment to bolster the region’s dynamic semiconductor industry. By investing in local infrastructure, we are dedicated to delivering innovative solutions that empower our customers and propel the region’s growth.”

TRUMPF Electronics brings over a century of expertise to its role as a plasma power solutions provider. The company’s TruPlasma RF generators and TruPlasma Match series deliver precise and stable plasma control critical for advanced manufacturing processes such as PECVD, PVD, etching, and ion implantation. These systems are known for high energy efficiency—operating at up to 80%—and for their ability to reduce energy consumption and operational disruptions while ensuring optimal process stability.

The new Malaysia-based facility complements TRUMPF Electronics’ growing Asian network, which includes another technical center in Japan. The Malaysia center is also expected to handle service requests from across SEA, including countries such as Vietnam and Thailand, reinforcing the company’s long-term commitment to regional customers.
