Toyotetsu's Gebze factory specializes in producing sheet metal parts for the automotive industry, utilizing large-scale presses and heavy molds. With molds weighing up to 25 tons, the facility required an efficient solution for transporting them between press lines. The operation had to navigate extremely narrow spaces and position the molds precisely at the press, demanding both precision and maneuverability.

Customer Need: Transporting Molds Between Press Lines in Narrow Spaces

Toyotetsu Gebze factory is a company that produces sheet metal parts for the automotive sector and operates with large presses and molds. The company has molds up to 25 tons and needed a solution for transporting these molds between press lines. The transportation operation needed to pass through very narrow spaces and bring the molds right up to the press.

Project Challenges: Operations in Narrow Spaces and During the Pandemic

The main challenge in this project was to transport the molds through narrow spaces and the supply problems during the pandemic period. Various supply problems were experienced during this period, but these problems were resolved through collaboration with reliable suppliers.

Our Solution: Mold Transport Cart with High Maneuverability

Fada Engineering proposed a specially designed four-wheel transfer cart with a 25-ton carrying capacity and a hydraulic lifting system to transport molds for Toyotetsu Gebze. This design provided maximum maneuverability in narrow spaces for operators and facilitated bringing the molds to the press.

Project Outcome: Efficient and Effective Transport Solution
