Uniloy announced the establishment of its new ASEAN base in Penang, Malaysia. This milestone marks a strategic step in Uniloy’s global expansion, enabling production of European-designed shuttle blow molding machines, built entirely from 100% Asia-sourced components. This is a strategic move in response to the needs and wants of customers in the region.
The company’s first locally designed and manufactured machine, based on our all-electric UCS 27 shuttle blow molder, will launch in Q1 2026, with commercial production orders expected by Q4 2026.
“We spoke to numerous customers throughout Southeast Asia and learned there is a great need and demand for Uniloy. Customers told us they desired locally built machines backed with reliable local support, and this move will enable us to deliver on that,” said Gary Riley, CEO of Uniloy. “Uniloy Malaysia is our commitment to deliver world-class performance at a cost structure that fits regional needs.”

ASEAN represents roughly 20% of the global blow mold equipment market, growing at 5% CAGR—outpacing Western markets. Growth is driven by rapid e-commerce expansion, rising disposable incomes, government-led industrialization, and demand for locally manufactured machines priced up to 30% lower than imports.
Uniloy Malaysia will deliver Western-level quality and productivity designed with features that will meet local market requirements without added complexity and cost of imported machines. By combining European engineering excellence with regional manufacturing, sourcing, and service, Uniloy is poised to meet the growing demand in Southeast Asia while strengthening its global footprint.
