The 2025 ASEAN Manufacturing Summit – Creating a Circular Economy (November 5/Jakarta, Indonesia) serves as an ideal platform for packaging manufacturers and plastic recyclers to explore recent developments in technologies and materials toward a circular economy. Organized by Ringier Events, the Summit is one of the long-running conferences on the topic of circular economy, attracting hundreds of delegates each year who are key decision-makers from leading industry players.
This year, the Summit is proud to have two speakers from the ALBA Group Asia who will focus on the topic “Driving Circularity in ASEAN Manufacturing: From Global Vision to Local Pathways.” The presentation will start off with an introduction by Mr. Daniel Loo, Sales Manager, ALBA Asia Plastic Trading Limited. Mr. Loo brings over 15 years of experience in the recycled plastics industry. He has held leadership roles in recycling alliances across Malaysia and broad international markets, specializing in sustainable supply chain development, producer responsibility frameworks, and circular economy solutions in the ASEAN region.

Another discussion on the topic will be presented by Mr. Farhandra Ramdhani, Local Sales and Logistics Manager at PT ALBA Tridi Plastics Recycling Indonesia. Mr. Ramdhani oversees commercial and logistics operations for a facility producing 3,000 tons of rPET monthly. With five years in Indonesia’s recycling sector and a background in business development and engineering, he has led projects in recycling and waste collection. A graduate in Material Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung, he specializes in sales strategy, international logistics, and circular economy advancement across ASEAN.
The presentation of these two experts explores how to translate global circular economy visions into actionable pathways across ASEAN, with a specific focus on ASEAN’s evolving policy landscape. Against the backdrop of the country’s ambitious Circular Economy Roadmap and National Action Plan, the demand for localized, sustainable solutions is more urgent than ever. The session will examine international trends, policy frameworks, and emerging market opportunities. By combining cutting-edge European recycling expertise with deep local experience, we will share project insights that tackle regulatory barriers, mindset shifts, and regional challenges—advancing toward a waste-free Southeast Asia.
Originating from the Asian activities of the German ALBA Group with more than 50 years of European experience in recycling and waste management, ALBA Group Asia has been legally an independent corporate group since 2019, and has been active in Asia for over 20 years. Headquartered in Hong Kong SAR, with advanced operational facilities in Indonesia, China, and Hong Kong SAR, ALBA Group Asia builds circular economies across Asia by implementing scalable and comprehensive recycling solutions.
Strategically located in the Kendal Industrial Park in Central Java, PT ALBA Tridi Plastics Recycling Indonesia is the region’s first and only food-grade rPET recycler. With a total investment of US$60 million, the 2.6-hectare facility employs state-of-the-art technology to produce over 24,000 tons of FDA-certified rPET flakes and 12,000 tons of food-grade pellets annually. By converting waste into high-value recycled materials, we support industries such as food packaging, textiles, and consumer goods, helping brands meet their sustainability targets while reducing the reliance on virgin plastics. Committed to delivering long-term positive impact, ALBA Group Asia works toward a world without waste while promoting sustainability and supporting local communities.
