Partnership with Vien Dong Electrical Equipment Co., Ltd. extends ABB’s retail distribution reach across Southern Vietnam

ABB, a global leader in electrification and automation, has expanded its smart buildings solutions portfolio and appointed Vien Dong Electrical Equipment Co., Ltd as its official retail distributor across Southern Vietnam. The announcement, made during ABB’s Distribution Day 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City, highlights ABB’s commitment to enabling smarter, more efficient, and sustainable living through advanced building technologies.

Vietnam continues to rank among the fastest-growing economies in Southeast Asia. Around 44 percent of its population now lives in cities, a figure that continues to rise as urban development accelerates and living standards improve. These trends are driving strong demand for reliable, high performance electrical solutions that enhance comfort, safety and energy efficiency in modern living spaces.

At the event, ABB introduced a comprehensive range of advanced residential electrical products, including the Framia frameless switch and socket range, Mistral, Basic E Consumer Units, and the SJ200 Miniature Circuit Breakers (MCBs) and GSJ200 Residual Current Circuit Breakers. Together, these products deliver complete electrical protection with a contemporary, minimalist design, supporting both residential and light-commercial applications.

As part of the event, ABB signed a distribution partnership agreement with Vien Dong Electrical Equipment Co., Ltd. which will make ABB’s building solutions portfolio more widely available throughout Southern Vietnam. With more than 15 years of experience in electrical distribution and a strong nationwide dealer network, Vien Dong brings extensive market knowledge and a commitment to customer service.
