Focusing on resource utilization and production efficiency, HCI presented their flagship FSL-TX1300 High-Speed Slitter. With its high speed, large roll capacity, and user-oriented design, the FSL-TX1300 enables manufacturers to meet rising demand for high-output, large-roll applications in flexible packaging. The FSL-TX1300 is designed for high stability and precision in long-run operations, combines high stability, shorter setup time, and minimized downtime with a remarkable running speed of up to 600 meters per minute. This makes it a robust and efficient solution for converters aiming to increase productivity in today’s competitive flexible packaging industry.

“The FSL-TX1300 Slitter was developed through a focused R&D program aimed at achieving high-speed, high-precision performance for flexible packaging materials. We optimized the machine’s mechanical structure using finite element analysis to improve rigidity and reduce vibration during operation,” said Terence Chen, Sales Director at HCI Converting Equipment Co., Ltd.

 

A key advantage is the ability to handle a finished roll diameter up to 800mm, compared to the standard 600mm. For example, when processing 40μm film, an 800mm diameter roll delivers approximately 12,500 meters which is 78% longer winding length than a 600mm diameter roll (6,950 meters), resulting in less downtime, reduced operator intervention, and significantly higher downstream efficiency and production continuity. Through the HMI (Human-Machine-Interface) control system, HCI’s equipment precisely adjusts production parameters, ensuring optimal energy use throughout the production process. “On the control side, we implemented digital servo synchronization and independent tension control zones with closed-loop feedback to ensure stable tension and precise slitting at high speeds. The integrated PLC and HMI system also allows real-time parameter monitoring and quick job setup through recipe storage,” Mr Chen said.  

 

With its operational efficiency and intelligent automation, the FSL-TX1300 is next-generation solution that combines circular design, for flexible packaging applications – materials like PET, OPP, CPP, and laminated films used in food, medical, and industrial packaging – that require very precise tension control and clean edge quality for high-speed production.
