With decades of experience supporting the aviation industry, the company continues to deliver advanced thermoplastic solutions that meet the most demanding requirements for safety, performance, and design flexibility. Polyvantis offers one of the most comprehensive portfolios in the industry, serving global customers with trusted brands including EUROPLEX®, LEXAN™ polycarbonate (PC) film and sheet, and PLEXIGLAS® polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) semi-finished products. Its products are relied upon across the aviation sector for critical cabin applications such as seatbacks, armrests, tray tables, galley interiors, luggage bins, personal service units, and lighting.
“At Polyvantis, innovation is built into our DNA. The development of both LEXAN™ F8000HR sheet and our microfluidic film solutions reflects our deep material expertise and global R&D footprint. With decades of experience in polymer science and a worldwide network of technology centers, we collaborate closely across regions and disciplines to accelerate innovation and deliver solutions that meet the highest performance standards. Our ability to draw from multiple trusted brands, such as LEXAN™, PLEXIGLAS®, and EUROPLEX®, and to integrate cross-industry insights allows us to create materials that not only solve current challenges but also anticipate future needs,” according to Ravi Menon, EVP Commercial, Specialties at Polyvantis.

Mr. Ravi Menon, EVP Commercial, Specialties - Polyvantis.
He also stressed that each of these innovations was developed with clear end-use applications in mind. LEXAN™ F8000HR sheet is designed for aircraft interior components such as seatbacks, armrests, tray tables, galley structures, and luggage bins, where weight savings, flame resistance, and design flexibility are crucial. The microfluidic films, including PLEXIGLAS® and EUROPLEX® COC grades, target next-generation diagnostic and life science applications such as lab-on-a-chip devices, point-of-care testing, and analytical instruments. These applications demand exceptional optical clarity, chemical resistance, and biocompatibility, properties that our films deliver reliably and consistently. “Across all our markets, our focus remains on enabling customers to design, manufacture, and scale products that advance technology, safety, and sustainability,” according to Mr. Menon.
Moving forward, Polyvantis is commits to continuously pursue innovations for its customers: “Innovation at Polyvantis is continuous. We are always developing new materials and technologies to meet the evolving needs of our customers and their industries. While we cannot share details at this time, our teams are actively exploring new formulations and processing technologies that will further expand our capabilities across aviation, healthcare, and beyond,” Mr. Menon stressed.
