The UNI Hydrocyclone Separator is engineered for both oil-based and water-based coolants and is particularly suited for applications with heavy sludge and metal chips. Using a high-speed circulation and centrifugal separation process, it continuously removes metallic and non-metallic impurities without the need to stop the machine. By maintaining clean coolant during operation, manufacturers can extend tool life, stabilize machining accuracy, reduce unplanned downtime and minimize manual tank cleaning, which in turn lowers labor intensity and maintenance costs.
In addition to performance, UNI also addresses the hidden cost of consumables. Its systems adopt non-consumable filter media with a service life of up to three years, far longer than conventional filter paper or disposable cartridges. Manager Miao-Hsiang Lin explains: “We have integrated control components and monitoring systems into our equipment, allowing users to easily monitor and manage machine operations.” Through data collection and condition monitoring, the system can be linked with machine tools and factory management platforms to trigger alarms, optimize filtration cycles, and support predictive maintenance. This enables fully automated filtration without manual intervention and helps factories move steadily toward unmanned, lights-out production.
These smart systems are already being adopted in sectors such as automotive components, precision machining, tool and cutter grinding, hydraulic and pneumatic parts, and other high-value metalworking processes.
