Founded in 1982, Jainnher has built its reputation around grinding machines, offering a wide portfolio that spans internal, centerless, cylindrical, vertical, and rotary grinding solutions.

Taiwan’s machine tool industry continues to push toward higher precision and automation, a trend clearly reflected at the Taiwan International Machine Tool Show (TMTS) 2026, organized by the Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders’ Association.

Among the companies demonstrating this shift, Jainnher Machine Co., Ltd. presented its latest grinding solutions, highlighting how automation and process integration are becoming central to modern production.

Speaking with International Metalworking News for Asia, Mr. William Lee, Sales Manager at Jainnher, explained how the company is refining its grinding technologies to better align with evolving manufacturing requirements.

Decades of Grinding Expertise

Founded in 1982, Jainnher has built its reputation around grinding machines, offering a wide portfolio that spans internal, centerless, cylindrical, vertical, and rotary grinding solutions.

“Right now, we have around 70 different grinding machine models,” Mr. Lee said. “And all of them can be manual, NC, or CNC—depending on customer requirements.”

This flexibility allows Jainnher to serve a wide range of industries while adapting to different levels of automation readiness.

Automation Takes Center Stage

At TMTS 2026, Jainnher highlighted a grinding solution that integrates multiple processes with automation.

The showcased system combines: center hole grinding, external diameter grinding, and robotic loading and unloading.

“All the processes can be connected together,” Mr. Lee explained. “The robot automatically transfers the workpiece from one stage to another.”

While the core machine itself is not entirely new, the integration of automation reflects a key direction for the company.

“We already produced this machine for many years,” he noted. “But now we combine it with automation to meet customer needs.”

Smart Monitoring for Production Visibility

In addition to automation, Jainnher is also enhancing machine connectivity and monitoring capabilities.

“Customers can monitor the machine from the office,” Mr. Lee said. “Even from a smartphone, they can check the production status.”

This feature allows manufacturers to: track machine performance in real time; improve production visibility; and respond more quickly to operational issues.

It also aligns with broader industry trends toward digitalization and remote management.

Customization Built on a Standard Platform

While Jainnher offers a wide range of standard machines, customization remains an important part of its approach.

“We start with our existing machines, then adjust based on the workpiece and customer requirements,” Mr. Lee explained.

Automation systems, in particular, are highly customizable.

“It depends on the workpiece and the factory setup,” he added. “We can use robots, gantry loaders, or simple loading and unloading systems.”

According to Mr. Lee, a significant portion of Jainnher’s solutions already incorporate automation.

“About 60% to 80% of our machines include automation that we design ourselves,” he said.

Competing on Precision and Engineering Quality

In a competitive market, Jainnher differentiates itself through both automation capabilities and machine accuracy.

“Automation is one key advantage,” Mr. Lee said. “But in grinding, the most important thing is still accuracy.”

He emphasized that while machines may look similar externally, the real difference lies in performance.

“You can’t see the difference just by looking at the machine,” he noted. “Only after using it, you can understand the accuracy and stability.”

This focus on internal engineering quality—rather than just outward design—is a defining characteristic of the company.

Balancing Cost and Value

Jainnher acknowledges that its machines are not always the lowest-priced option in the market.

“Our price is about 10% to 15% higher than some competitors,” Mr. Lee said.

However, this is tied to its design philosophy.

“We design most of the automation ourselves, and we use higher-quality components,” he explained.

For customers, this translates into: better long-term performance, higher reliability, and greater precision in finished parts.

Navigating a Challenging Global Market

Like many manufacturers, Jainnher is operating in a complex global environment.

“Right now, the market is not very good,” Mr. Lee admitted. “Taiwan and China used to be our main markets, but things have slowed down.”

At the same time, the company is looking toward new opportunities.

“In Southeast Asia, markets like Vietnam and Thailand have strong potential,” he said.

Despite global uncertainties, these regions continue to attract investment and industrial growth.

Looking Ahead

Jainnher’s strategy moving forward is clear: Strengthen automation integration, maintain high standards of precision, and expand into emerging markets.

While the industry continues to evolve, the company remains grounded in its core expertise.

As Mr. Lee summed it up: “In grinding, accuracy is everything.”

For manufacturers seeking reliable and high-performance grinding solutions, that focus may be exactly what sets Jainnher apart.
