W&H will present a comprehensive portfolio of solutions across extrusion, printing, and converting, with a strong emphasis on high-performance and recyclable packaging structures.

At CHINAPLAS 2026, Windmöller & Hölscher (W&H) will showcase its latest technologies for sustainable flexible packaging at Hall 2.1, Booth G61, reinforcing its position as a global technology leader in extrusion, printing, and converting.

Taking place from April 21–24, 2026, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) in Shanghai, the event will provide a platform for W&H to demonstrate solutions that support the transition toward a circular economy. Under the theme “get in the loop,” the company highlights its commitment to recyclability, resource efficiency, and closed-loop material concepts.

Focus on Performance and Recyclability

At its booth, W&H will present a comprehensive portfolio of solutions across extrusion, printing, and converting, with a strong emphasis on high-performance and recyclable packaging structures.

A key highlight will be multiple MDO-PE (Machine Direction Oriented Polyethylene) solutions, supported by real-world samples from industry partners, customers, and brand owners.

Among the showcased applications:

⚫In collaboration with ExxonMobil
A sealable blown MDO-PE pouch that is 30% thinner than conventional frozen food packaging, without compromising performance. Additionally, a high-stiffness blown MDO-PE substrate will be presented, offering optical and mechanical properties comparable to traditional BOPP films.

⚫In collaboration with Dow
A recyclable high-barrier sachet designed to replace conventional metallized film structures. W&H’s mono-material solution contains less than 2% EVOH, enabling compliance with recycling requirements while maintaining strong barrier performance.

⚫A newly developed high-barrier cast MDO-PP pouch, demonstrating how advanced packaging can combine high barrier functionality with design-for-recycling principles.

Printing, Converting, and End-of-Line Solutions

W&H will also highlight solutions for solvent-free flexographic and gravure printing, including applications for high-barrier packaging.

In addition, technologies for PE sacks and multiwall paper sacks will be presented together with key partners:

⚫Bäumer & Bäumer (B&B)
Bag-making systems for side-gusseted bags with re-closure features, as well as pouch solutions with inline spout insertion and optional leak detection.

⚫AVENTUS
Form-fill-and-seal (FFS) machines, palletizing systems, and stretch hooding technologies for efficient handling of bulk materials.

⚫GARANT Maschinen
Paper bag solutions including cross-bottom, flat, and satchel bag designs, offering sustainable alternatives for applications such as diaper overwraps and e-commerce mailers.
