In an aerospace machining application, JYR Aviation implemented Blaser B-Cool Skytec 500 on a DMG MORI DMU 50 machining center for processing Engine Mounting components (Inconel 718+), successfully improving process stability and overall machining performance.
Based on actual application results, B-Cool Skytec 500 generated productivity improvements of approximately NTD 323,973 (USD 10,327) per machine for JYR Aviation. In addition, annual coolant-related savings reached approximately NTD 20,107 (USD 640), while coolant consumption was reduced by around 30%. Tool wear was also reduced by more than 50%, contributing to improved machining stability and lower tooling costs.
Beyond cost savings, JYR Aviation also observed fewer burrs on machined workpieces, reducing polishing time and improving overall production efficiency. In addition, the low-foam characteristics of B-Cool Skytec 500 minimized the risk of coolant tank overflow, creating a more stable and reliable shopfloor environment.
