IME 2026 Concludes Successfully in Bangkok, Supporting Chinese Companies' Global Expansion

 

Bangkok, 24 July 2026 - The Intelligent Manufacturing Expo Southeast Asia 2026 (IME 2026) concluded successfully at the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center in Bangkok following three days of exhibitions, technical exchange and business networking.

Jointly organized by the Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, DEXPO Shanghai Industry & Commerce Exhibition Co., Ltd., and Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai Ltd., IME 2026 covered 5,000 square metres and brought together nearly 150 companies. Nearly ten professional forums, technical seminars, corporate presentations and business-matching activities were held concurrently.

During the three-day event, IME 2026 welcomed [number of professional visitors] professional visitors from [number of countries and regions] countries and regions. Industry associations, research institutions, industrial parks, manufacturers and professional buyers from China, Thailand and across Southeast Asia exchanged views on advanced manufacturing, industrial upgrading and business cooperation.

As the first self-organized overseas exhibition launched by the organizers of the China International Industry Fair (CIIF), IME 2026 brought CIIF's industrial resources, brand influence and international cooperation network to ASEAN. The exhibition showcased Chinese intelligent manufacturing technologies and connected them with the industrial needs of Thailand and the wider Southeast Asian market.

Supporting ASEAN's Manufacturing Transformation

Professional visitors from the automotive and auto-parts, electrical and electronics, new-energy, food-processing and machinery-manufacturing industries held discussions with exhibitors on equipment renewal, production-line automation, digital transformation and energy-efficiency improvement.

The Machine and Automation System Industry Club of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI-MASIC) commented:

“China-Thailand industrial cooperation is expanding from product and equipment trade towards technological collaboration, localized production and joint supply-chain development. IME 2026 provides a practical platform for companies from both countries to understand market needs, identify partners and explore long-term cooperation.”

The Thai Automation and Robotics Association (TARA) commented:

“As Thailand's automotive industry moves towards electrification, intelligent technologies and more efficient manufacturing, demand continues to grow for precision processing, automated production, intelligent inspection and reliable supply chains. The technologies presented at IME 2026 are closely aligned with these upgrading needs.”

Through product showcases and industry exchange, IME 2026 enabled Chinese companies to gain a clearer understanding of local production requirements, technical standards and service expectations.

Showcasing Intelligent Manufacturing Solutions

IME 2026 brought together representative companies including Bodor Laser, Inovance, HSG Laser, Han's Laser, MOONS', JWIPC, DEGSON, GKONCY, SAIPWELL and Hunan Bluesky.

The exhibits covered laser processing, industrial automation, robotics, precision motion systems, intelligent control, production monitoring and smart manufacturing solutions.

Specialist companies including Electric Furnace Technology,Jinglian M&E Tech., Precitec and CENAVA presented heat-treatment equipment, automotive components, laser-welding quality-monitoring systems and rugged industrial terminals.

Other exhibitors, including ODOT Automation, WELLAUTO, SENPUM, ADH and Jatai Laser, showcased PLCs, HMIs, sensors, measurement instruments, press brakes and fibre-laser cutting machines.

Together, these technologies demonstrated the growing capabilities of Chinese manufacturers in delivering not only individual products, but also integrated technologies, systems and services for international markets.

Connecting Buyers and Local Industry Resources

IME 2026 organized visits by 47 professional delegations from the automotive, electronics, food-processing, new-energy, machinery and industrial-equipment sectors.

Thai Foods Group Public commented:

“The exhibition enabled our production, engineering and operational-efficiency teams to review solutions in automation, intelligent control, process monitoring and energy-efficient equipment. It provided a valuable platform for comparing technologies and engaging with professional suppliers.”

The concurrent 2026 China-Thailand Technology and Equipment Business Matching Event brought together [number of professional buyers] buyers and [number of participating exhibitors] exhibiting companies.

Participants held face-to-face discussions on equipment procurement, production-line upgrading, automation control, distribution partnerships and localized technical services.

Nearly ten professional activities were also held during IME 2026, including six organized or supported by Thai industry associations and professional institutions.

The Thai-German Institute, Thai IoT Association, National Metal and Materials Technology Center, Sustainable Manufacturing Center and Thai Automation and Robotics Association shared insights on Industry 5.0, sustainable manufacturing, AI-powered smart factories, robotics and flexible production.

Through professional delegation visits, business matching and local industry activities, IME 2026 connected exhibitors with buyers, manufacturers, industry organizations and potential partners across Thailand and Southeast Asia.

Expanding Opportunities for Chinese Intelligent Manufacturing
