Gary Liu, Managing Director of Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai Ltd., said Southeast Asia has become one of the world's most dynamic manufacturing markets. IME was established to connect industrial innovation in Southeast Asia with technologies and markets worldwide. We do not measure success merely by exhibition size, but by the value we create for our participants. He said. Leveraging the global resources of HANNOVER MESSE and the China International Industry Fair (CIIF), the exhibition will help Chinese intelligent manufacturing companies expand internationally and participate more deeply in regional and global industrial value chains.

Representing exhibitors, Li Lei said Southeast Asia has become both a strategic overseas market for Chinese manufacturers and an important growth region for the global intelligent manufacturing industry. Bodor Laser's products are now used in more than 180 countries and regions worldwide, and the company looks forward to further strengthening cooperation with customers and partners across Southeast Asia through IME.

Zhao Jianjun said the value of intelligent manufacturing extends beyond advanced technologies. More importantly, it enables manufacturers to improve production efficiency, quality control, cost optimization and delivery performance. He added that Chinese companies expanding overseas should develop a deeper understanding of local industrial demand and establish long-term partnerships with manufacturers, system integrator and industrial parks, ensuring that technologies and solutions can be effectively implemented to support the long-term development of Thailand's and Southeast Asia's manufacturing industries.

Following the speeches, government officials and industry representatives officially inaugurated IME 2026 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the opening of the exhibition. The delegation then toured the exhibition halls, where they met with exhibitors to learn about the latest technologies, product innovations and industrial applications, and exchanged views on technology development, market opportunities and future cooperation.
