The 2026 ASEAN Advanced Automotive Manufacturing Summit – Flexible Production & EV Solutions will take place on November 3–4, 2026, in Cikarang, Indonesia. Organised by Ringier Trade Media Ltd., the two-day event will bring together automotive manufacturers, EV producers, component suppliers, engineering specialists, industry associations and technology providers to explore the developments transforming automotive production in Indonesia and across Southeast Asia.

 

As the automotive industry moves towards electrification, intelligent automation and more flexible production, manufacturers must balance innovation with cost, quality and operational resilience. This year’s summit will focus on practical technologies and strategies that can help companies respond to changing vehicle platforms, new material requirements, supply-chain pressures and increasingly complex production environments.

 

 

 

A Full Day of Industry Insights and Technology Presentations

Day 1, on November 3, will be devoted to conference sessions, technology presentations, networking and tabletop product displays. The programme will cover AI-enabled automotive manufacturing, profitable EV production, battery and thermal-management technologies, localisation of EV powertrain and electronic components, advanced metalworking, lightweight plastics and composites, digital quality control, sustainable manufacturing, flexible automation and workforce development.

 

Among the confirmed speakers is Agung Adzrikni Habibie, Director of PT Ide Karya Manufaktur, an Indonesian engineering company specialising in moulds and dies, checking fixtures, precision parts and automotive plastic components. Rahmat Septriwan, Director of RS Services Indonesia, will discuss Indonesia’s EV ambitions and the development of national car and motorcycle projects.

 

Saptono, Chairperson of the Indonesian Automotive Practitioners Association, will present the development of EV training and BNSP EV certification. His session will highlight the need to prepare technicians, engineers and production personnel for the new competencies required by electric vehicles and intelligent manufacturing.

 

The Indonesian Welding Association is the summit’s confirmed association partner. Its participation will strengthen discussions surrounding advanced joining technologies, new materials, welding automation, digital inspection, occupational safety and workforce competency—all of which are becoming increasingly important as manufacturers introduce lightweight structures and new EV components.

 

Innovative Solutions for Modern Automotive Production

International equipment and materials manufacturers will also present solutions for modern automotive production. Technology providers from China, including Montronix (Jiangsu) Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd., will feature products and systems designed to improve productivity, process control and equipment reliability.

 

Montronix specialises in CNC machining centres, tool and process monitoring, machine protection, diagnostics and predictive maintenance. Its monitoring solutions can help manufacturers detect tool breakage, wear and machining abnormalities in real time, reduce scrap and unplanned downtime, and support stable automated or unmanned production.

 

Other participating suppliers will showcase technologies covering precision machining, metal forming, welding and joining, injection moulding, engineering plastics, composites, robotics, autonomous material handling, machine vision, factory software and energy-efficient production. Networking breaks and tabletop displays will allow delegates to speak directly with solution providers and discuss specific manufacturing challenges.

 

From Conference Discussions to Practical Learning

Day 2, on November 4, will be dedicated to an Industrial Learning Visit to three selected companies. The visits will give participants an opportunity to step beyond the conference setting and observe manufacturing practices in actual industrial environments.

 

Delegates will gain a closer understanding of production processes, plant organisation, automation, quality management, workforce practices and continuous-improvement initiatives. The programme is intended to encourage practical knowledge exchange and allow participants to identify ideas that may be adapted to their own facilities.
