6th edition of SIFRE opens on August 26

PROMISING to be larger than last year’s edition, Shanghai International Frozen and Refrigerated Food Expo, or SIFRE, will see increased participation from global companies when the three-day event opens 26 August 2015 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center.

SIFRE is the country’s trade exhibition for the entire supply chain for the frozen and refrigerated food industry. It will cover the following categories: meat, poultry, fruits and vegetables, rice and wheat products, as well as raw and auxiliary materials such as ingredients and condiments for frozen foods. Aside from food products, there will be exhibitions on food processing equipment, freezers, packaging equipment, packaging materials, and cold chain logistics facilities.

Last year, SIFRE registered 800 exhibitors from Korea, America, Australia, Japan, India, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Taiwan, and recorded over 23,658 trade visitors.
