Barentz appoints Sue Song as Vice President, Human Nutrition for Asia Pacific

BARENTZ a leading global specialty ingredients solution provider has announced the appointment of Sue Song as Vice President, Human Nutrition (Asia Pacific), effective 12 January 2026.

In her new role, Ms Song will provide overall strategic direction for the Human Nutrition division across Asia Pacific. She will work closely with Christian Barker as Global Head of Human Nutrition, and the other regional Vice Presidents leading the regional sales organization and owning the development and execution of the mid-term regional sales strategy. Her focus will be on ensuring alignment with Barentz’s global objectives and the effective implementation of sales-related processes and initiatives locally.

Ms. Song has extensive experience in the human nutrition and specialty ingredients industry, with a strong background in regional leadership and commercial strategy across the Asia Pacific region. She is recognized for her ability to build and scale regional commercial organizations, drive sustainable growth, and develop high-performing teams within complex, multicultural markets. In her previous roles, she has had a strong track record of driving profitable growth, as well as contributed to expanding the business through mergers and acquisitions and broadened the business by engaging with new suppliers.

Sue holds an MBA from the University of Hong Kong and a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Shanghai University of Science and Technology.
