Positive sentiments as industry recovers

Optimism reigned as participants in the plastics and rubber industries anticipate recovery of the sectors dependent on plastics. The post-pandemic scenario is geared towards growth in automotive, food & beverage, packaging, electronics/electrical, medical and other applications. This was reflected in the more than 1,500 materials suppliers and 3,000 sets of machinery exhibits that were presented, supporting smart, efficient, cost-effective, and low-carbon manufacturing.

From swinging robotic arms, product information updating on the screen of the machinery, automated manufacturing line, to different types of bioplastics, recycled products, visitors were able to immerge in green, smart, and advance technologies under one roof. Another important trend is sustainability and CHINAPLAS showcased bioplastics with performance and applications similar to oil-based raw materials and other specialty materials with enhanced properties to achieve “Green and low-carbon transformation and circular economy”.
