Flottweg, a leading international manufacturer of industrial centrifuges, decanters, and separation systems, successfully concluded its participation at PALMEX Thailand 2026, held from August 6 to 7, 2026 in Surat Thani, Thailand.
Operating from its dedicated exhibition booth, Flottweg separation experts engaged with palm oil mill owners, plant managers, and industry leaders from across the region to present customized separation technologies designed to maximize crude palm oil (CPO) extraction yields, streamline process efficiency, and lower environmental impact.
High-efficiency separation for palm oil processing
With Thailand maintaining its position as the world’s third-largest CPO producer,[1] Flottweg’s participation at PALMEX Thailand comes at a time when regional producers are actively turning to high-efficiency industrial equipment to improve recovery rates while meeting rigorous environmental and operational standards.
Throughout the two-day event, Flottweg’s showcase centered on its specialized 3-phase decanter, the Flottweg Tricanter®, designed specifically for demanding palm oil extraction conditions. The Tricanter® enables continuous, simultaneous three-phase separation – separating two immiscible liquid phases (pure oil and water) and a solid phase in a single step.
During technical exchanges at the booth, Flottweg highlighted the technology’s application across key mill processes, including direct crude oil clarification after screw pressing, oil recovery from clarification tank sludge, and secondary oil extraction from effluent streams.
