Frank Schindler to take over management of ProWein Düsseldorf

From 15 October 2025 Frank Schindler will take over project management as Director of ProWein Düsseldorf, the world-leading trade fair for wines and spirits. In his new role, Schindler will lead the project team in Düsseldorf and be in charge of project management of ProWein Düsseldorf including ProSpirits as well as of the six international ProWein World trade fairs in Asia and South America. At the same time, he will drive global strategic positioning as well as international marketing. In organizational terms he will work in the operative division of Marius Berlemann, Chief Operating Officer of Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, reporting directly to Michael Degen, Executive Director Trade Fairs.

Frank Schindler was formerly Managing Director of tradition-rich winery Esterhazy in the Burgenland, and as Managing Director of VINUM Weinhandel GmbH headquartered in South Tyrol, across the board. He brings international experience, strategic competency and a strong networking base to the role. With his academic training (WSET) and a Master’s in International Wine Marketing he also boasts extensive wine and spirits expertise.
