A growing market for high-quality personal care
Despite its size, Vietnam is the second largest consumer of skincare and cosmetics in Southeast Asia. Its beauty and personal care market is forecast to reach USD 2.74 billion by 2025, and expand likely to USD 3.3 billion by 2030, reflecting steady growth at a 3-4% CAGR.
Personal care, particularly cosmetics and skincare account for USD1.2 billion of market. Over 60% of Vietnamese consumers use skincare daily, with facial cleansers (49%), perfumes (41%), sunscreens (31%), and moisturizers (25%), based on statistics.
Vietnam’s youth are said to be among the biggest spenders on beauty products in Vietnam whose median age is 33.4 years. As one of the region’s savviest online users, these consumers are also driving growth in online shopping, which is said to be outpacing traditional retail. Online beauty sales have surged from 47.6% in 2022 to 52.2% in 2023.
