Italian packaging association names president-designate

The Nomination Committee of UCIMA (the Italian Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Association) has named Maurizio Bertocco, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ILPRA SpA, as the candidate for the Association's presidency for the 2026-2030 term.

At its April 15 meeting, the Board of Directors submitted Bertocco’s nomination to the General Assembly, scheduled for July 2, 2026. His official appointment is expected to be confirmed on that occasion, marking the handover from current president Riccardo Cavanna, who has led the association with authority and strategic vision throughout his term.

With this nomination, UCIMA seeks to reinforce its role as a key reference point for the sector in an increasingly complex and competitive market, where strong and authoritative collective representation is not merely an added value for member companies but a fundamental strategic lever for competing internationally.

"Taking over from Riccardo Cavanna is both an honor and a responsibility that I approach with great determination. Bertocco is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ILPRA SpA, an innovative SME based in Mortara (Pavia), founded in 1955 and listed on the stock exchange, active in the production and sale of packaging machinery for the food, cosmetics and medical sectors. Bertocco has led the company since the 1980s, supporting its expansion across European and international markets, where it is now present in 130 countries.
