The key driver for the plastic industry will remain the question of sustainability, according to Sekaran Murugaiah, Vice President - Business Development, Asia Pacific at Davis-Standard

Davis-Standard has been engaging its customers proactively with very frequent and up-to- date communication on supply chain and cost challenges and formulating win-win solutions for customer orders. “Ensuring our continuous success of our customers during these challenging times will be our main focus in 2023,” Mr. Murugaiah adds.

Davis-Standard's products and services are subjected to continuous improvements in keeping with market and customer requirements. Two major products that will be highlighted for 2023 are the new high-speed die profile control system that works at a fraction of the speeds on conventional die systems. “Additionally, we will be promoting the DS Activ-Check™ predictive system to help our customers know more about their machinery failure rates which allows for monitoring and responding to the health of their machineries. DS Activ-Check is an integral part of the DS industry 4.0 initiative,” Mr. Murugaiah explains.

Davis-Standard's new DS Activ-Check platform can be installed on a continuously expanding number of company products (including both Davis-Standard and Maillefer machinery), delivering a powerful suite of analytical tools, cloud and local data storage options, process and equipment technology algorithms.

Mr. Murugaiah added: “Davis Standard will be focusing on step change improvements in customer facing business processes in addition to our annual capital program for 2023.”
