FIMIC has been innovating in the area of melt filtration technology and its various products have proven to be constantly responding to the market demand for highly efficient systems. The company has been manufacturing automatic and continuous melt filters, screw pumps and customised guillotines for the plastic recycling industry. Its versatile melt filters have been able to handle both post-consumer and post-industrial materials, and offer a range of different models of automatic melt filters.
As Erica Canaia, Sales Director of FIMIC Srl, explains, FIMIC filtration systems are capable of processing highly contaminated plastic materials, especially post-industrial and post-consumer plastics. The company offers several different models of automatic melt filters, covering the many different existing applications to guarantee high results and a very high quality of the final material. “To date, FIMIC is the only company in the market with a product line of 5 different models of melt filters. We have also provided over 920 machines worldwide. Many leading companies in the plastic recycling industry are using FIMIC’s technologies to improve their recycling operations,” according to Ms. Canaia.
Globally, the drive towards environment-protection and move towards circular economy in plastics production is expected to push demand for efficient recycling technologies. “We need to recycle more and more because the environment needs it. We need to protect our environment for the succeeding generations. With this goal, FIMIC will continue to develop new machinery and strive to increase our presence in the market – by serving as consultant to our customers about recycling,” Ms. Canaia explains.
With the evolving recycling industry requirements, the development of its innovative products will remain part of FIMIC’s future efforts. For instance, SPA, a revolutionary pump that allows easy transport of plastic material melted by the extruder to the filter without using gears, operates with a single screw and requires minimal maintenance. “We are improving our SPA products and producing bigger size to increase output per hour to provide more benefits for our customers,” Ms. Canaia explains.
