From October 04 to 09, 2021, the world of metalworking will once again be looking towards Italy: EMO Milano will open its doors and look forward to welcoming trade visitors from Europe and the rest of the world with a packed agenda. With a sophisticated safety and hygiene concept, a clearly improving economy backing the show, and the great need of manufacturers and customers to finally get back in touch in person, the best conditions are in place for a successful trade show. Thus, the magical world of metalworking will undoubtedly form a highlight of 2021, even if not all the regulars are allowed to travel to Europe due to the pandemic. The EMO Hannover team will, of course, also be on site and available for discussions at the VDW booth (Hall 4 B29).
Machine tools, production systems, enabling technologies, robots and automation, solutions for networked and digital factories, and additive manufacturing are among the products and solutions that will take the spotlight at EMO Milano. They are increasingly linked to the theme of networking and enable complex functions that a manufacturing industry can no longer do without. For example, over six days in October 2021, Fieramilano Rho will become the largest digital factory ever set up within an exhibition center.
The large and diverse range of products at the show and the clear link between production technologies and IoT systems are ideally aligned with the main user industries in the machine tool, automotive, aerospace, railroad, metallurgy and materials sectors. In this sense, EMO Milano interprets the industrial spirit of our times while presenting futuristic technologies for the development and well-being of society. It is the magic world of metalworking.
With a packed agenda, EMO Milano aims to attract qualified visitors as usual and demonstrate its high status for purchasing decision-makers in production technology. At the last edition, 81 percent of visitors had direct decision-making authority, 25 percent of them alone and 56 percent as co-decision-makers.
Although the registration period for EMO Milano 2021 was marked by great uncertainty due to the international pandemic, many established companies have confirmed their participation. They represent a majority of the countries and industries that have always been major players at EMO Milano. Among the 34 countries that will be present at the show, Italy, Germany, Taiwan, Spain, Japan, Switzerland, China and Korea are among the largest exhibiting nations. The ever-improving distribution of vaccines, forecasts for rising machine tool consumption in all major areas of the world and the Italian government's fiscal investment incentives for new production technologies also offer favorable conditions for EMO Milano on the visitor side.
As always, the supporting program of EMO Milano rounds off the range of exhibits in a strong way. The EMO Digital exhibition and demonstration area will showcase the potential of digital technologies for the manufacturing world, while the Start-Up Area will place a special focus on young entrepreneurs and their innovative solutions. In the Speakers' Corner, EMO Milano will combine the exhibition with trade conferences, offering cutting-edge presentations on metalworking technologies alongside discussions with opinion leaders.
We're looking forward to seeing you at EMO Milano!
