The ever-evolving beauty and personal care industry is in constant need of scientifically-supported ingredients and formulations, attractive yet sustainable packaging and processing technologies that drive efficiency, while strict compliance with safety and industry regulations is mandatory. Addressing the market need for better products and solutions in Indonesia, the 2025 ASEAN Personal Care Technology Summit will convene leading voices from across Asia, to explore new prospects, technological innovation, and manufacturing excellence in the industry.
The two-day conference organized by Ringier Events will take place on December 4 and 5 at the Hyatt Jakarta, Indonesia, and will feature a distinguished speaker lineup from associations and local and international companies. In addition, participants will experience a live cosmetics demonstration and a factory tour, highlighting Indonesia’s rising prominence in the global beauty and personal care industry.
The event is supported by the PPA KOSMETIKA Indonesia representing the collective interests of cosmetics companies and related organizations across the country; the Perhimpunan Pengusaha Spa Indonesia (ASPI Wellness & SPA), representing spa and wellness entrepreneurs across Indonesia; the Indonesia ISO Expert Association (IIEA) which promotes the value of high-quality service for consultation, training, certification, implementation, and other assurance services; the Indonesian Packaging Association, the non-profit, non-governmental organization of the packaging industry in Indonesia; as well as the THAI COSMETIC CLUSTER (TCOS), consisting of entrepreneurs, and which promotes innovation, research, standard development.

Technical presentations and knowledge exchange
On December 4, Kusuma Ida Anjani, Director, Business Development and Innovation at the PT Mustika Ratu Tbk, will speak on the future of personal care in the ASEAN region. Ms. Anjani is also Head of Division III (Marketing Division) of the Indonesian Wellness Spa Association (ASPI). PT Mustika is engaged in the manufacture, trade, and distribution of herbal and traditional cosmetics in Indonesia.
Shanghai Chasing Machine & Electronics Co., Ltd Manager Michael Hsu joins the roster of speakers to share his expert knowledge on cosmetics manufacturing. Chasing specializes in industrial-grade machinery including mixing and processing equipment.
Elza Ding, Sales Director at SPEC-CHEM GROUP, a provider of high-quality cosmetic ingredients including halal and kosher products to leading multinational brands, has chosen to discuss hair care / health solutions, given the growing demand for hair and scalp care products.
Andrew Peng, Regional Manager at Shandong Freda Biotechnology Co., Ltd. will share the benefits of the company’s cosmetic raw materials, particularly hyaluronic acid and other key functional ingredients.
Conference delegates will also learn first-hand about the latest nanochip technology from Hengzhiqing Biotechnology Co., Ltd, a company that is focused on deep research and development of non-invasive transdermal delivery technology. CEO Zhu Hongfei will share how this absorption solution is well suited to Indonesian consumers.
Technical Development Manager at Shanghai Zhina Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Rachel Tian is scheduled to speak on sustainable skincare innovation, and will specifically highlight the application of natural active ingredients -- sought after ingredients in today's self-care products.
Tina Gong, R&D Innovation Manager at PT Nayue Kosmetik Indonesia will focus her talk on the research and application of ocean-friendly biogenic sunscreen ingredient combinations in sunscreen products. Ms. Gong has over 10 years’ experience in cosmetics research, innovation, and product development. She holds six patents and has authored three peer-reviewed research articles published in both domestic and international scientific journals.
Apt. Jeanetha Inees M, S. Farm., MBA, of PT Mandom Indonesia Tbk, will present emerging trends in sensitive skincare, ranging from microbiome science to minimal-ingredient formulations. As Senior Section Head of Brand and Product Development for Skin Care Premium at Mandom, Ms. Inees brings deep expertise in this field, offering insights for companies seeking new solutions in gentle innovation that prioritize protection, repair, and care.
Anita Loeki, Director of Continental Cosmetics, a manufacturing company based in West Java, will share the latest developments in halal innovation specifically for Indonesian skincare. This presentation is especially valuable to those who are planning to develop products for local consumers.
Founder and CEO of PT SanGreat Natural Indonesia, Fifin Nashirotun Nisya, SP, MSi, will talk about the strategies for developing niche natural products in today’s highly competitive market. Under her leadership, Ms. Nisya has secured multiple patents—including innovations in bio-based surfactants and derivative products—and registered trademarks for SanGreat and SanGlist. She has successfully guided SanGreat in scaling a portfolio of more than 50 products.
Reiner Rogate Sinaga, Group Head of Commercial at PT Orson Indonesia, a manufacturer and trader of personal care products, will discuss bar soap manufacturing for private labels. Mr. Sinaga is a commercial strategist widely experienced in the personal care industry, and has a keen understanding of consumer behavior and new markets.
In the area of safety and compliance, Toto Waluyadi of SGS Indonesia and Dr. Lily Jiang, PhD of SGS Global will speak on cosmetics regulations & claims substantiation. They will discuss the new BPOM regulation on cosmetics in Indonesia, the regulatory requirements for cosmetics in the global market, as well as present case studies on claim substantiation.
Mr. Waluyadi is Laboratory Manager of Cosmetics & Personal Care, SGS Indonesia. He also manages the Indonesia Food and Cosmetic Laboratory and is responsible for establishing quality standard performance and maintaining daily laboratory operation. Since 2023 he has been part of technical committees under BSN (Indonesia National Standardization Body) responsible for formulating and developing of Indonesia National Standard (SNI) of Cosmetics & Household Products.
Dr. Jiang is the Global Head of Cosmetics & Personal Care business unit at SGS. Since 2012 she has been involved in clinical research of cosmetics and dermatology field and her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at society and international conferences.
During the conference, there will be ample times for group and individual networking as well as an open forum allowing delegates to engage with the speakers. Business partners will be setting up booths for delegates to sample / evaluate their products.

On the afternoon of December 4, Continental Cosmetics will hold a live demonstration that will showcase trending make-up and skincare product applications.
