Add-X Biotech achieves Certificate of Conformity from ESMA

SWEDISH bio-tech company,Add-X Biotech AB has received the Certificate of Conformity from the Emirates Authority for Standardisation and Metrology (ESMA). This is proof that the production, as well as the product, AddiFlex, complies with the UAE Standard GSO 5009:2009 “Standard & Specification for Oxo- Biodegradation of Plastic Bags and Other Disposable Plastic Objects.” AddiFlex is an oxo-biodegradable additive that when added to plastic makes it oxobiodegradable.

Since 2012, it has been mandatory in the UAE for producers of plastic bags to use oxo-biodegradable additives in their production. With this certification Add-X Biotech can now supply the full range of AddiFlex products in the rapidly growing market of the UAE.
