THE Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) made a 99 percent score in the 2015 food safety performance evaluation conducted by the UAE Ministry of Environment & Water in cooperation with Food & Agricultural Organization of UN (FAO).
On its website, ADFCA reported that it gained 5 points compared to its evaluation in 2014. The score reflects Abu Dhabi’s performance in maintaining food safety levels and controlling activities, having bested other emirates in the UAE. Moreover, it was proof that legislations are in force in Abu Dhabi and shows ADFCA's ability to handle issues and cases related to food safety.
The evaluation conducted in 2015, is part of the Ministry’s program to enhance and develop food safety situation in the country. It was based on the performance indexes and various legislations drafted and implemented by ADFCA.
