Agro Sevilla switches to multilayer plastic jar for olives

SPAIN’s largest producer and exporter of table olives Agro Sevilla has taken a step further to ensure its products are well protected for the foodservice sector. The company partnered with RPC Promens Consumer Corby in designing a two-litre jar that can extend the ambient shelf life of olives.

Made from polypropylene with an EVOH layer, the jar protects products well from oxygen ingress. The airtight container will allow the contents to undergo continued pasteurization and sterilization throughout their shelf life, keeping them flavorful and safe for consumption longer.

Aside from these, the rectangular shape of the plastic jar improves the capacity of each freight container and being lightweight makes it easy to handle manually.
