Ajinomoto moves production to HK

IN SEPTEMBER, Ajinomoto Frozen Foods Co., Inc. transferred the production of its frozen foods from Shenzhen Amoy Foods Co., Ltd to Amoy Food Ltd in Hong Kong. Both belong to the Ajinomoto group of companies. The move will consolidate development, production and sales operations, as well as reduce Ajinomoto’s foreign currency risk on conversion from the Chinese Renminbi to the HK dollar and other currencies. The HK-based company, whose markets are Hong Kong, North America and Australia, is targeting increased output and further expansion.
