Alba boosts in-house expertise through international training

Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba)'s position as a company that propels Bahraini nationals to acquire competitive skills was given an impetus as five of its Bahraini employees secured internationally recognised certification from the Advanced Institute of Welding Technology in India.

Adel Abdulla Ramadan, Hussain Ali Kamal, Fahad Mohd Farhan, Ahmed Abdulla Kuwaid and Hani Abdulla Buhumaid received certification in Arc welding, MIG welding and TIG welding, and thereby bolstering Alba's in-house welding expertise in the Reduction Maintenance Department.

Alba's Chief Executive, Laurent Schmitt congratulated the five employees upon successfully completing their training. Also present at the meeting were Alba's Chief Supply Chain Officer & Acting Chief Operating Officer, Isa Al Ansari,   Reduction Maintenance & Services Manager, Adel Faraj Abbas and other company officials.

Alba has more than 2,700 employees, and Bahraini nationals comprise 87% of the total workforce. The company supports training and development of all of its  employees, and has set up a dedicated training centre to empower them with skills and knowledge. A large number of Bahraini employees have benefited from this facility, succeeded in enhancing their professional stature, and contributed to the growth of the industry.
