AMI Conference on recent trends in plastic pipes

After the success of the previous events, AMI’s 5th edition of the Middle East Plastic Pipes Conference will take place in May 2012 at the Shangri-La Hotel in Dubai, UAE. This event is focused on the applications, markets and technology for plastics pipes in the Middle East region. In 2011, the economic output of the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region grew by 5% compared to 2010 and this rate is expected to be maintained through the next five years. Investments are outpacing economic growth: they represented circa 25% of GDP in 2011 and are expected to reach 28% by 2016. The region’s population continues to grow fast, further stimulating demand for construction and infrastructure – and hence the demand for pipes. Middle East Plastic Pipes 2012 is a unique forum to debate the technical and market developments in the pipe industry in the MENA region. AMI has put together a very thorough programme which includes sessions on testing and quality assurance, infrastructure and specialty pipes.
