Anuga 2013 expects some 6700 suppliers

With around 6,700 suppliers on a gross exhibition space of 284,000 m2, the trade fair is booked out. For five days, from 5 to 9 October 2013, suppliers from 100 countries will be showing the entire global product range of food and beverages. Around 155,000 visitors are expected to come to the event from all over the world.

Günther H. Oettinger, member of the European Commission and Commissioner for Energy, and Dr. Werner Hoyer, President of the European Investment Bank, will hold the opening speeches and be the guests of honour at the opening ceremony of the 32nd Anuga on 5 October 2013. The Anuga opening ceremony traditionally serves as the beginning of the world's largest and most important trade fair platform for the international food industry.

As the representative of the City of Cologne and the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Koelnmesse, Mayor Jürgen Roters will welcome the high-ranking guests from Germany and abroad. The participants will be addressed by the President of the Federal Association of the German Grocery Retail Trade, Friedhelm Dornseifer, and the Chairman of the Federation of German Food and Drink Industries, Dr. Wolfgang Ingold.

New opening times: On all five days of the fair, Anuga will open its doors at 10:00 a.m. instead of at 9:00 a.m., as has previously been the case. The doors will close at 7:00 p.m. with the exception of the last day of the fair, when they will close at 6:00 p.m. Anuga is open to trade visitors only.

The organizers of Anuga are Koelnmesse GmbH and the Federal Association of the German Retail Grocery Trade (BVLH), Berlin. The conceptual sponsors of Anuga are the Federation of German Food and Drink Industries (BVE) and the German Hotel and Restaurant Association (DEHOGA). Both organizations are based in Berlin.
