AOCS to Host Singapore 2012: World Conference on Fabric and Home Care

AOCS announces Singapore 2012: World Conference on Fabric and Home Care from October 29-31, 2012, at the Shangri-La Hotel Singapore. The conference will continue the tradition of the Montreux World Conference, a premier industry event held every four years in Montreux, Switzerland.

"We recognize that technology is moving too fast to have a meeting every four years," said J. Keith Grime, General Chair. "It is crucial that we pull the fabric and home care industry leaders together more frequently to ensure that we are staying ahead of the latest issues and trends. Expanding to Singapore will build on the Montreux tradition with the same superior programming, but also broaden our access to new audiences and additional networking opportunities."

Singapore 2012 will gather executives and decision-makers from across the globe who influence the future of the fabric and home care industry. With the overall theme of "Driving Performance through Sustainable Innovation," the conference will feature four half-day sessions covering vital business topics:

Balancing the Shifting Market Dynamics with Economic Realities: What is Ahead?
Resource Management, Product Performance, and Environmental Responsibility: What is the Winning Formula?
Innovative Supply Systems and Manufacturing Paradigms: What are the Solutions?
Revolutionary Products and Breakthrough Technologies: What is Driving the Future?
Also highlighting the world conference are the keynote addresses. Three CEOs will present, giving attendees a unique chance to hear from the top executives in the fabric and home care industry. Keynote speakers include:

Paul Polman, CEO, Unilever, United Kingdom
Bob McDonald, CEO, The Procter & Gamble Company, United States
Motoki Ozaki, CEO, Kao Corporation, Japan

AOCS will host a fabric and home care world conference every other year, with the location alternating between Montreux and Singapore. Plans are already in place for the 2014 conference in Montreux.
