ARBURG to launch Freeformer at Chinaplas 2015

  At Chinaplas 2015, the company will present high-end injection moulding technology, including its innovative system for industrial additive manufacturing.    

 

ARBURG is set to emphasize efficient production of high-quality mass-produced articles at its 275 sq.m. booth (5.1A41, Hall 5.1) at this year's Chinaplas. The booth will include a demonstation of two injection molding applications for the medical technology and packaging industries. An electric ALLROUNDER 470 E will produce syringe barrels made from the innovative glass substitute, COP. As a packaging application, a hybrid Allrounder 570 H in the “Packaging” version will be on show, which produces four thin-walled IML containers in a cycle time of 3.2. seconds.
 
The expansion of the company's product portfolio will be highlighted via the Freeformer. The sales launch in Asia of this system for industrial additive manufacturing at Chinaplas will stress the great potential of ARBURG Plastic Freeforming. This segment of the exhibit alone includes fully-functional two-component parts and the additive manufacturing of complex geometries with the aid of water-soluble supporting structures.

He added that the Freeformer is designed for industrial applications and can achieve far more than a simple 3D printer.
