Ardo UK takes a firm grip on workplace hygiene

FROZEN fruit and vegetable specialist Ardo UK is the most recent food company to upgrade its hygiene management with the patented Hygiene Handle.  

Developed by UK company Pure Hold, in conjunction with healthcare prevention specialists, the Hygiene Handle releases sanitising gel onto the user’s hand upon touch and has been installed on all entry points to food processing areas at the Ardo plant in England.

The innovative handles have proved effective in enforcing hand hygiene and reducing cross-contamination common with normal door handles.

“The handles are a great way to use new technology to ensure a high level of cleanliness is consistently achieved in the factory,” said Jim Everest, operations director at Ardo UK.

We all know the dangers of the spread of germs especially in food production facilities and it is great to see a big company like Ardo take such a responsible and proactive approach.”

Pure Hold is currently expanding across the world, with a recent installation of a number of this product in the King Abdullah Hospital in Jeddah, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
