Ashland, Dairen sign deal to produce Aquapas RDP

ASHLAND Specialty Ingredients, a commercial unit of Ashland Inc. (NYSE: ASH), and Dairen Chemical Corporation (DCC) have recently signed an exclusive manufacturing agreement allowing the latter to produce Aquapas™ redispersible powder (RDP) products beginning January 1, 2015.

 

Under the terms of the agreement, Ashland will continue to be the exclusive global channel for marketing Aquapas brand products. It will also continue to serve the construction market with a broad range of products that includes Culminal™ and Combizell™ methylcellulose derivatives.

 

Ashland vice president for Industrial Specialties Ed Connors said, “Ashland remains committed to the global construction market and will continue pursuing opportunities to better serve our customers.”

 

Dairen is one of the largest RDP producers in the world.
