Asia presence breaks record at VINEXPO 2013

VINEXPO, the world’s premier international wine and spirits exhibition, attracted more visitors from Asia, at the 2013 showcase in Bordeaux, France. Amongst 48,858 visitors, organisers said 3,388 professionals came from China. Attendance from Hong Kong and the mainland rose by 13.9% from the previous expo, signifying the importance of these markets in the wine and spirits sector. Japan participation increased by 17.6% to 427. India’s attendance was up by 32.7%; Viet Nam by 20.4% and Malaysia by 21.1%.

In 2014, to serve these markets better, organisers are setting up VINEXPO in Beijing on 2-3 June and B2B event in VINEXPO Nippon in Tokyo on 1-2 November, in addition to VINEXPO Asia Pacific in Hong Kong on 27-29 May.
