The 73rd Board of Administration Meeting of the Asian Packaging Federation(APF) was held in Manila last October 6, 2023. During the meeting, the 14-member country Board has elected DR. JOSEPH ROSS S. JOCSON MNSA, from the Philippines, as the new President of the APF.
The Asian Packaging Federation, a non-profit organization established in Tokyo, Japan, in 1967, which unites the packaging interests of all trade and industries in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond, under one co-operative umbrella.
The objective of the Asian Packaging Federation (APF) is to enhance cross country co-operation among all packaging-related bodies, covering a gamut of subjects like training and education, package development, environmental aspects as well as laws and regulations. The APF Secretariat rotates among the member countries and is currently situated in Thailand.
Since 1967, this is only the 3rd time wherein the Philippines will hold the highest position in the APF. Dr. Joseph Ross Jocson was a long time President of the Packaging Institute of the Philippines and holds several Board positions in several companies such as GS1 Philippines and the RMR Group of Companies.
