Asmak to strengthen processed food portfolio

AQUACULTURE pioneer Asmak International Fish Farming Holding Co. PJSC said it will further strengthen its frozen seafood product offering in order to increase revenues. The company registered a net profit of Dhs21m for the fiscal year 2011, also said at its annual general meeting.

A leading seafood supplier in the UAE, GCC and the region, Asmak in 2011 introduced the ‘Asmak’ brand of ready-to-eat fish products to various hypermarket and supermarket chains in the UAE.

Asmak will also develop an integrated seafood programme with the regional and international processed fish industry: Fish farm operations were started in Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia, and pilot production of Asian sea bass will begin in 2012.
