Aussie tea acquired by Unilever

UNILEVER has agreed to acquire T2, an Australian tea business that generated sales of about AUS$57 million for the 12-month period ending June 30 2013. T2, which offers fragrant teas and teawares, operates 40 stores in Australia. The acquisition will bring T2’s benefits of scale and access to worldwide markets, as well as expand Unilever’s portfolio of premium tea.
