SHANGHAI – Automated Packaging Systems, the world leader in high-reliability bag packaging systems, is introducing in China the Autobag? AB 180? Bagging System with an integrated Accu-Count? 200 high speed counter. This high-speed bag packaging system includes an inline automatic parts counter and thermal transfer printer for applying high-resolution graphics, text and barcodes directly on the bag. The counter and bagger system will count, batch and package up to 2,500 bags per hour in sizes from 5 to 28 cm wide x 8 to 56 cm long. The complete system has a small footprint of approximately 1.25 x 1.5 meters.
The Autobag AB 180 bagger is designed for industrial packaging applications, including hardware fasteners, electrical parts, plumbing supplies, and many other small parts suitable for bag packaging.
The Accu-Count 200 is a vibratory automatic infeed system with a detection eye that will count small parts from 3.18 mm in diameter, 3.18 mm to 6.35 cm long, and up to 5.08 cm wide. It includes part orientation funnels and over-count discharge for maximum speed and accuracy. The system is available with multiple bowl configurations, allowing the flexibility to run different parts. A bulk supply of product is driven to a single flow that is automatically batched to a pre-set quantity and then funneled to a pre-opened poly bag, which is sealed and dispensed as the next bag is printed and staged for loading.
Product changeovers are achieved in less than two minutes using genuine Autobag pre-opened bag on a roll materials. A wide variety of film types are available, from standard linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) to greaseproof/waterproof co-extruded materials. Autobag bags are available in clear, clear/white combination and custom pre-printed in up to 10 colors.
The AB 180 with Accu-Count and other Autobag packaging systems will be on display in the Automated Packaging Systems stand 5C18 at ProPak China, 17-19 July in Shanghai.
