SHENYANG, China – Following the inauguration of a distribution centre in Wuhan in July, Avery Dennison opens another in Shenyang this October.
"The centre we're opening today, and the Wuhan centre we opened three months ago, underline the rapid growth of the China labelling industry and Avery Dennison’s commitment in helping our customers in northeast and central China to efficiently manage their inventory and responsiveness to their customer needs,” says Georges Gravanis, vice president and general manager, Materials Group - Asia Pacific, Avery Dennison.“ These two centres are closer to our customers and allow us to offer more flexible, responsive and convenient service. We are determined to continue to provide quality products and services that truly set us apart in terms of speed and efficiency."
The storage capability of this new centre will exceed 3 million square metres of materials, and its processing capacity will reach 100,000 sqm. Closer to its market, the company will be able to increase its delivery time by up to 70%, reducing from four to seven days to one to three days.
"It's exciting to be growing so rapidly in China, not only in terms of shipments and production capacity, but also in terms of our geographic spread across the country," said Jim Heng Lee, vice president and general manager, Materials Group - Greater China, Avery Dennison. "We're grateful for the support of the two cities that play host to our new distribution centres. I believe that our customers in and around Shenyang and Wuhan will quickly experience the benefits of having a local distribution centre right on their doorsteps.”
