Avient Corporation will showcase its polymer solutions at the Plastics Recycling Conference. The company's experts will be present to discuss their technologies and services that tackle recycling obstacles. They will also highlight their innovative solutions recognized by the Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR) under the APR Design® Recognition Program.

One of these solutions is the ColorMatrix™ Smartheat™ RHC Process Aid, a liquid dispersion that increases recycled PET (rPET) content, enhances rPET quality, and reduces energy usage. Another product on display is the ColorMatrix™ Ultimate™ UV390 Light Barrier, which uses additives to protect products against UV light, extending shelf life without negative effects on the recycling stream.

Additionally, Avient's OnColor™ NIR Sortable Colorants are a recent innovation that has received APR recognition, allowing black and dark packaging to be detected and sorted for recycling. These solutions highlight Avient's commitment to improving sustainability and making the world a better place through innovative technology.

In addition, the launch of an exciting new oxygen scavenger technology will be announced on day one of the conference, focused on helping protect beverages in PET packaging. Avient will also showcase its newly launched PCR Color Prediction Service – a digital tool that supports post-consumer recycled (PCR) resin coloration.

At the Plastics Recycling Conference, Sean Bernhardt, the senior technology manager, will take the Innovation Stage on March 7 at 5:30 PM. During his talk, he will address the challenges faced in recycling and provide an overview of CycleWorks™, Avient's testing facility dedicated to researching recycling in a real-world environment.

This conference is North America's biggest gathering of plastics recycling and sustainability professionals. Avient will exhibit at booth #710 in the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Maryland from March 6 to 8, 2023.
